Beautiful open-air baseball in March-April and October.
Order the Sonoran hot dog immediately upon entering. A bacon-wrapped frank in a bolillo bun with pinto beans, onion, tomato, mayonnaise, mustard, and jalapeño salsa — the definitive Phoenix regional food.
The right field swimming pool is for groups who book in advance — you cannot simply walk up and swim. But you can see it clearly from right field seats.
Walk through the park early enough to appreciate the air conditioning. Going from 108°F outside to 70°F inside in a single step is a physical experience.
If it's October and the roof is open, stay after the final out to look at the Phoenix night sky. The desert stars are the best version of the park.
Valley Metro Rail stops at the stadium — Jefferson/1st Ave station is directly adjacent. The light rail is genuinely convenient.
Upper level sections 301–320 along the first base line. The full park is visible, the roof mechanism is overhead, and there's plenty of cool air.
