The park on Mickey Mantle Drive in Oklahoma City's Bricktown entertainment district, named for the Chickasaw Nation — one of the Five Civilised Tribes removed to Indian Territory in the 1830s and now one of the most prosperous tribal nations in North America. Cattlemen's Steakhouse (since 1910), Indian tacos, and the Bricktown Canal make Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark one of the most culturally layered minor league parks in the country.

Architecture & History

Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark was designed by Benham Blair & Affiliates and opened April 10, 1998 in Oklahoma City's Bricktown entertainment district.

The park's address — 2 South Mickey Mantle Drive — honours Oklahoma City's direct connection to the Commerce Comet.

The Chickasaw Nation naming rights reflect Oklahoma's Indigenous heritage. The Chickasaw are one of the Five Civilised Tribes.
