LANSING LUGNUTS
Jackson Field
Jackson Field is the A's High-A affiliate in Lansing, Michigan — the state capital, the home of Michigan State University in adjacent East Lansing, and a major automotive manufacturing center. The Lugnuts name is one of the most beloved in the minors — a direct reference to Michigan's automotive identity. Lansing is the home of Oldsmobile (GM) and the REO Motor Car Company, where Ransom Olds built one of America's first automobile factories. The nuts that hold wheels to axles built this city.
