Insider Tips

01

The One Thing

Get to the purple row in the upper deck — Row 20, Section 144 — and stand there. You are exactly one mile above sea level. Look west at the Rocky Mountains.

02

Rocky Mountain Oysters

Order the Rocky Mountain oysters once. They are breaded and deep-fried bull testicles and taste like deep-fried calamari. The Colorado baseball obligation.

03

The Sandlot Brewing Visit

Go to the Blue Moon Brewing at the Sandlot in the stadium's basement. This is where Blue Moon was invented in 1995.

04

UV Warning

Bring SPF 50 sunscreen. At 5,280 feet, UV radiation is 50% more intense than at sea level. This is not a casual recommendation.

05

Parking Reality

RTD Light Rail lines all stop at Union Station, a 10-minute walk through LoDo. From downtown Denver hotels, the stadium is walkable in 15 minutes.

06

Best Value Seat

Upper deck sections 301–317 along the third base line. Rocky Mountain view is most prominent and the purple mile-high row is in this section.
