FRISCO ROUGHRIDERS
Rider Field
Rider Field is the largest stadium in Double-A baseball — 10,316 capacity in the rapidly growing Dallas suburb of Frisco, where the Texas Rangers and FC Dallas have both anchored entertainment districts. The RoughRiders develop the Rangers pipeline in one of the fastest-growing cities in America.

Architecture & History
Riders Field (formerly Dr Pepper Ballpark) opened in 2003 in Frisco, Texas, as part of the booming Dallas-Fort Worth suburb's sports complex. It was among the first major facilities in what became Frisco's sports and entertainment corridor.
The RoughRiders name references Theodore Roosevelt's cavalry regiment, tying into Texas frontier history. The park features a lazy river, swim-up bar, and other premium amenities that set a new standard for minor league parks.
Frisco has exploded from a small town to a city of over 200,000 residents. The ballpark sits near the Dallas Cowboys' headquarters, PGA of America, and FC Dallas stadium, forming a major sports destination.

DFW suburban evenings — comfortable spring and fall
Rider Field evening games in spring and fall are among the best in the Texas League. North Texas evening temperatures are mild and comfortable outside peak summer.
DFW summer heat — 100°F+ with Texas humidity
Frisco summer day games are extremely hot. The DFW summer heat (100°F+ routinely) makes afternoon games in July and August genuinely difficult. Evening games only.

The best baseball weather in Frisco is April-May and September. DFW's spring and fall are mild, dry, and ideal for outdoor baseball.
10,316 capacity — big game atmosphere in Double-A
Rider Field's 10,316 capacity creates a major league-scale atmosphere for Double-A baseball. Promotional nights and weekend games regularly sell out.
Insider Tips
The One Thing
Order the Tex-Mex brisket taco and a Peticolas Velvet Hammer and find a seat in the upper deck to appreciate the scale. Rider Field holds 10,316 people — more than many AAA parks.
Peticolas Brewing
Peticolas Brewing is Dallas's best craft brewery by most measures — Great American Beer Festival medals, intensely local, small production. Velvet Hammer Imperial Red is their most celebrated beer.
Book Early
Rider Field regularly sells out on weekends. The DFW population and the park's promotional calendar make it one of the hottest Double-A tickets in Texas. Buy tickets in advance.
Parking Reality
Rider Field has massive surface parking lots adjacent to the stadium complex. Frisco is entirely car-oriented. Parking is not a problem; arriving early is advisable for sellout nights.
Best Value Seat
Upper deck first base — the scale of the park is best appreciated from elevation, the DFW suburban skyline is to the west, and the brisket taco stand is accessible from the main concourse below.
