SOUTH BEND CUBS
Four Winds Field
Four Winds Field is the Cubs' High-A affiliate in South Bend, Indiana — Notre Dame's city, the home of the Fighting Irish, and the place where Mayor Pete Buttigieg launched a national political career. The park sits on the St. Joseph River in downtown South Bend, in a city that has undergone a remarkable revitalisation from its post-industrial decline. The Cubs pipeline runs through an Indiana city with a deep Catholic identity, a great university, and one of the most famous football programs in the world.

Names & History
2019–present
Four Winds Field
Named after Four Winds Casinos, the Michigan-based Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians gaming operation. A rare stadium naming rights deal with a Native American tribal enterprise.
1987–2019
Coveleski Stadium
Named after Stan Coveleski, a Hall of Fame pitcher who grew up in the South Bend area. The de-naming of Coveleski to accommodate the Four Winds deal was a point of local historical debate.
The Food
Chicago-Style Hot Dog
The Cubs are from Chicago. The food must be from Chicago. A proper Chicago-style hot dog — Vienna Beef frank, steamed, in a poppy seed bun, with yellow mustard, neon green relish, chopped onions, tomato wedges, a pickle spear, sport peppers, and a dash of celery salt, and absolutely never ketchup.
Italian Beef Sandwich
Italian beef stand
The Chicago Italian beef — thin-sliced seasoned beef slow-roasted in broth, served wet or dry on an Italian roll with giardiniera peppers.
Pork Tenderloin Sandwich
Tenderloin stand
The Indiana breaded pork tenderloin sandwich — pork loin pounded thin, breaded, fried until it extends far beyond the bun.
Cubs Dog
Hot dog stands
Chicago-style with all seven toppings. Never ketchup.
