NORFOLK TIDES
Harbor Park
The most dramatically waterfront-positioned ballpark in minor league baseball — Harbor Park opened in 1993 directly on the Elizabeth River in downtown Norfolk with views of the Norfolk Naval Station's aircraft carriers and destroyers visible beyond the outfield on clear days. No other professional baseball park has active US Navy vessels as its outfield backdrop.

Architecture & History
Harbor Park was designed by HOK Sport and opened April 15, 1993 on the Elizabeth River waterfront.
The park's most remarkable geographic feature is its sight line to the Norfolk Naval Station — the world's largest naval station — where aircraft carriers are visible.
Norfolk's Tidewater identity — shaped by the Navy, the Chesapeake Bay maritime tradition — is expressed throughout Harbor Park.
