Kauffman Stadium opened in 1973 as Royals Stadium, making it one of the oldest parks in the American League. Its distinctive crown scoreboard and outfield fountains — the largest privately funded fountain in the world — define the Kansas City skyline.

All Sections
The fountains help cool the air as the sun drops behind the crown scoreboard.
Get a seat with a direct view of the waterfall and stay until the lights come on after dark. The 322-foot illuminated waterfall beyond the outfield wall at night is the most beautiful sight in AL Central baseball.
Burnt ends from any BBQ stand in the stadium. Kansas City burnt ends are one of the great regional foods of the American Midwest.
Get to the stadium early enough to see the waterfall in afternoon light before it's lit at night. The transition is remarkable.
Stay until after the final out. The post-game with the waterfall still running and lit, and the stands emptying, is one of the more peaceful post-game environments.
Kauffman Stadium is car-centric. The shared parking with Arrowhead is extensive. Most fans drive. Budget time for post-game traffic.
View Level sections 409–425 along the right-center field line. The waterfall is visible, the prices are lowest, and the view is good.
