LOUISVILLE BATS

Louisville Slugger Field

Louisville, KYEst. 200013,131 seatsAAA

The minor league park whose name comes from the most famous piece of sporting equipment ever made. Louisville Slugger Field opened in 2000 on the Ohio River waterfront in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, directly across Main Street from the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory — the 120-foot-tall bat leaning against the museum wall is visible from inside the park.

Architecture & History

Louisville Slugger Field was designed by HOK Sport and opened April 11, 2000, incorporating the 1905 historic Main Street Station rail depot into the left field structure.

Against the Grain Brewery established their brewery and brewpub operations inside Louisville Slugger Field. This makes it the only minor league park with a fully operational craft brewery producing beer on the premises.

The Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory directly across Main Street — with its 120-foot replica bat leaning against the building — means the park sits at the centre of Louisville's most recognisable brand identity.
