Insider Tips

01

The One Thing

Position yourself with a clear view of the left-center field Union Station facade and the train tracks. When the locomotive fires and rolls on an Astros home run, it is the most atmospheric home run celebration in the AL West.

02

The Torchy's Order

Go to Torchy's Tacos on the left field concourse and order the Democrat and the Trailer Park. Two of the best tacos available at any MLB stadium.

03

Check the Roof Status

The roof is open or closed based on Houston weather. In summer it's almost always closed. The open-roof version with the Union Station facade in afternoon light is the most beautiful version.

04

Arrive Early

Walk through the Union Station main entrance and look up at the preserved 1911 ceiling and original station architecture.

05

Parking Reality

The METRORail Red Line stops at Bell Station, two blocks from Minute Maid Park. The METRORail is the correct answer.

06

Best Value Seat

Mezzanine level sections 212–222 along the third base line. Good sight lines to both the field and the Union Station facade.
