BBQ stands
Central Texas-style brisket sliced thick on white bread with pickles.
Various stands
Fried chicken tenders served in a waffle cone with honey mustard.
Karbach Brewing
Houston's most popular craft blonde ale. Easy drinking for a retractable roof afternoon.
Sections 100-120, Crawford Boxes
The Crawford Boxes in left field catch full Houston sun when the roof opens.
All Sections
Roof is closed for most summer games — Houston humidity demands it.
All Sections
April and September games with the roof open are ideal.
Position yourself with a clear view of the left-center field Union Station facade and the train tracks. When the locomotive fires and rolls on an Astros home run, it is the most atmospheric home run celebration in the AL West.
Go to Torchy's Tacos on the left field concourse and order the Democrat and the Trailer Park. Two of the best tacos available at any MLB stadium.
The roof is open or closed based on Houston weather. In summer it's almost always closed. The open-roof version with the Union Station facade in afternoon light is the most beautiful version.
Walk through the Union Station main entrance and look up at the preserved 1911 ceiling and original station architecture.
The METRORail Red Line stops at Bell Station, two blocks from Minute Maid Park. The METRORail is the correct answer.
Mezzanine level sections 212–222 along the third base line. Good sight lines to both the field and the Union Station facade.

Weird, wonderful, and worth the detour.
The real Mission Control — the room where Houston answered every Apollo call, preserved exactly as it was on July 20, 1969.
Four generations of Texas history on a 23,000-acre working ranch — from the Republic of Texas in 1824 to the mid-20th century, all lived-in and operational.
