Insider Tips
The One Thing
Nymeo Field is now a High-A park following the 2026 upgrade for the Frederick Keys — the Orioles' new High-A affiliate replacing Aberdeen. The renovated park is worth visiting to see what a career-spanning MiLB venue looks like after a major refresh.
Best Seat in the House
Lower box seats directly behind home plate give you the best view of the updated playing surface and the historic grandstand bones.
History Detour
Frederick's historic downtown is one of the best-preserved Civil War-era districts in Maryland. Spend the afternoon before the game exploring the area.
Getting There
Frederick is off I-70 and US-15 in western Maryland, about an hour from both Baltimore and DC.
Pilgrim Stops Near Frederick
Weird, wonderful, and worth the detour.
The Graffiti Warehouse
A massive legal graffiti mural wall in Baltimore's Station North arts district. Blocks of paint on brick that changes constantly. The city funded it. The art never stops.
Edgar Allan Poe's Grave
Poe died in Baltimore in 1849 under circumstances that remain genuinely mysterious. His grave in Westminster Hall churchyard was a pilgrimage site before pilgrimage sites were a thing. The catacombs beneath the church are open for tours.
