Sun & Weather Guide
Delmarva Peninsula heat and humidity
The Delmarva Peninsula's proximity to the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean means high summer humidity combined with heat. Day games require shade strategy.
Bay breeze moderates Salisbury humidity
Sea breezes off the Chesapeake make Perdue Stadium's summer evening games more comfortable than the day game humidity suggests.
Delmarva spring is pleasant
April and May games at Perdue Stadium catch the best of Delmarva's spring weather — moderate humidity, highs in the 70s.
Insider Tips
The One Thing
Order the Perdue chicken sandwich. The irony is real and intentional — the stadium is named after the chicken company and the signature food is a chicken sandwich from that same company's operation.
The Must-Try
Blue crab dip on a warm pretzel bowl. Maryland blue crab and Old Bay are the two ingredients that define Delmarva's food identity and this item delivers both.
Best Seat
First base reserved sections give you the best shade in afternoon games. The Delmarva summer sun comes strong from the west.
Old Bay Everything
The Old Bay condiment bar at the hot dog stand is not a gimmick — it is culturally correct. Maryland puts Old Bay on everything.

Weird, wonderful, and worth the detour.
The Graffiti Warehouse
A massive legal graffiti mural wall in Baltimore's Station North arts district. Blocks of paint on brick that changes constantly. The city funded it. The art never stops.
Edgar Allan Poe's Grave
Poe died in Baltimore in 1849 under circumstances that remain genuinely mysterious. His grave in Westminster Hall churchyard was a pilgrimage site before pilgrimage sites were a thing. The catacombs beneath the church are open for tours.
