EUGENE EMERALDS
PK Park
PK Park is the Giants' High-A affiliate in Eugene, Oregon — the University of Oregon's city, the birthplace of Nike, the track and field capital of the United States. Bill Bowerman coached at Hayward Field; Phil Knight sold shoes from the back of a car. The Emeralds name references the Willamette Valley's brilliant green — the lush, rain-watered valley between the Coast Range and the Cascades that produces the richest agricultural land in the Pacific Northwest. The Giants' prospect pipeline runs through the most track-and-field focused city in America.
