BIRMINGHAM BARONS
Regions Field
Regions Field opened in 2013 in Birmingham's Parkside district — a modern ballpark that anchored the revitalisation of the city's urban core. Birmingham is the most important city in Southern League history — the Barons are the league's most-titled franchise (9 championships), the stadium where Michael Jordan played in 1994, and a city whose civil rights history, steel industry heritage, and emerging food scene give every game an extraordinary cultural context.

Architecture & History
Regions Field opened in 2013, returning professional baseball to downtown Birmingham after a long absence. The park was designed by Populous and built on the site of the former Sloss Fences industrial area near the railroad district.
Birmingham's baseball history runs deep, from the Black Barons of the Negro Leagues to the current Barons. The park's industrial-chic design honors the city's steel-making legacy with exposed steel and brick elements throughout.
Located in the Parkside District, Regions Field has catalyzed a wave of restaurants, breweries, and apartments. The nearby Rotary Trail connects the ballpark to Railroad Park and the city's expanding greenway network.
