MONTGOMERY BISCUITS
Riverwalk Stadium
Riverwalk Stadium sits on the Alabama River in downtown Montgomery — the state capital, the Cradle of the Confederacy, the birthplace of the modern civil rights movement. Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat in Montgomery in 1955; Martin Luther King Jr. pastored Dexter Avenue Baptist Church here. The Biscuits name is simultaneously the greatest minor league team name in America and a direct reference to Alabama's definitive food.

Architecture & History
Riverwalk Stadium opened in 2004 along the Alabama River in downtown Montgomery. The park brought affiliated baseball back to Alabama's capital and anchored the emerging Riverfront entertainment district.
The Biscuits name is a playful nod to Southern cuisine. Riverwalk Stadium's design by HKS Architects features a classic brick facade and a berm area overlooking the river, creating a relaxed Southern atmosphere.
Montgomery's rich civil rights history surrounds the park. The Rosa Parks Museum, Dexter Avenue King Memorial Church, and the new National Memorial for Peace and Justice are all nearby.
