COLUMBIA FIREFLIES
Segra Park
Segra Park is the Kansas City Royals' High-A affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina — the state capital, the University of South Carolina city, and one of the American South's great food cities. The Fireflies name references the synchronous firefly displays of the South Carolina Lowcountry and upstate forests, a natural phenomenon that draws visitors to the region each spring. Columbia sits at the fall line of the Congaree, Broad, and Saluda Rivers — the geographic transition between the Piedmont and the Coastal Plain.
