FAYETTEVILLE WOODPECKERS

Segra Stadium

Fayetteville, NCEst. 20195,500 seatsSingle-A

Segra Stadium opened in 2019 in downtown Fayetteville — the home of Fort Bragg (now Fort Liberty), the largest military installation in the world by population. Fayetteville is America's most military city: more active duty soldiers, veterans, and military families per capita than any comparable US city. The Woodpeckers name references the Red-cockaded Woodpecker, a native Carolina longleaf pine forest bird. The Astros pipeline runs through a city defined by service, sacrifice, and the longleaf pine sandhills of the North Carolina coastal plain.

The Food

MUST TRY

NC Pulled Pork Sandwich

Eastern North Carolina BBQ — whole hog, vinegar-only sauce, no ketchup, hickory wood — is the oldest BBQ tradition in America. Fayetteville is in Eastern NC BBQ country. A pulled pork sandwich with slaw on a plain white bun with Eastern NC vinegar sauce is the most authentic BBQ experience available at any professional baseball park.
