EL PASO CHIHUAHUAS
Southwest University Park
The park where Mexico is visible from the outfield. Southwest University Park sits in downtown El Paso directly across the Rio Grande from Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico — the two cities forming one of the largest binational metro areas in the world. The Franklin Mountains rise above the stadium and Juárez is visible beyond the outfield wall. The Chihuahuas are the most culturally binational franchise in professional baseball.

Architecture & History
Southwest University Park was designed by Populous and opened April 27, 2014 in downtown El Paso. No other stadium in affiliated baseball can see a foreign country from the outfield.
The El Paso–Ciudad Juárez binational metropolitan area (approximately 2.7 million) is one of the largest binational urban areas in the world.
The Chihuahuas name references the Chihuahuan Desert — the largest North American desert — and the dog breed originating from that region.
