Sutter Health Park was designed by HOK Sport and opened April 3, 2000 in West Sacramento on the Sacramento River.

The Sacramento River Cats have been one of the best-attended minor league franchises in the country since their founding.

Sacramento's Farm-to-Fork Capital designation reflects the Central Valley's agricultural abundance.
