COLUMBUS CLINGSTONES
Synovus Park
Synovus Park opened in 2025 as the most extensively renovated stadium in recent Southern League history — built on the site of Golden Park (1926). Columbus, Georgia is a Chattahoochee River city on the Alabama border, home to Fort Benning (now Fort Moore). The Clingstones name references the Elberta peach — Georgia's defining agricultural product.

Architecture & History
Synovus Park opened in 2025 as the brand-new home of the Columbus Clingstones, a relocated franchise bringing Southern League baseball to Columbus, Georgia. The downtown ballpark is part of a broader mixed-use redevelopment.
Columbus has hosted professional baseball intermittently since the early 1900s. The Clingstones name references the Georgia peach—specifically the clingstone variety grown throughout the state.
The ballpark sits near the Chattahoochee River and the revitalized Uptown Columbus area, which includes the National Infantry Museum and whitewater rafting course. It anchors a growing entertainment corridor.
