ROCKET CITY TRASH PANDAS
Toyota Field
The Rocket City Trash Pandas play in Madison, Alabama — adjacent to Huntsville, the city where NASA built the rockets that sent humans to the Moon. Werner von Braun and his team of German rocket scientists designed the Saturn V at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville. The team name is both a raccoon with a rocket — the most inspired minor league visual identity of the current era — and a literal description.

Insider Tips
The One Thing
Order the Alabama white sauce brisket and a Yellowhammer Electric Jesus IPA. The Saturn V rocket was designed 5 miles east of this park. The park is named the Rocket City Trash Pandas. The mascot is a raccoon in a spacesuit.
US Space and Rocket Center
The US Space and Rocket Center — 5 miles east — has the only remaining Saturn V rocket on public display in horizontal position. Visit it before the game. It is extraordinary.
Straight to Ale Monkeynaut
Straight to Ale's Monkeynaut IPA is named for the early space program test animals — Ham the chimpanzee and others — who preceded human spaceflight. A Huntsville craft beer named for a space monkey is the correct order.
Parking Reality
Toyota Field has ample surface parking adjacent to the stadium. Madison is a suburban Alabama city — car-oriented, easy access, no parking challenges.
Best Value Seat
Third base lower grandstand — the park's best sight lines, access to the rocket BBQ stand, and the most direct view of the field in a well-designed 2020 facility.
