NEW YORK YANKEES
The most expensive stadium ever built.

The current Yankee Stadium opened in 2009, replacing the original 1923 "House That Ruth Built" located directly across 161st Street. The $2.3 billion project recreated many design elements of the original, including the limestone and granite facade.
The Great Hall behind home plate features a grand entrance with cathedral-like ceilings, while Monument Park beyond center field preserves the team's legendary history.

Night games start with the sun behind the third base upper deck.
Visit Monument Park before first pitch. It closes when the game begins and is one of the genuinely sacred spaces in American sports.
The Bleacher Creatures in Section 203 perform a roll call at the top of the first inning — calling each starting player by name until they acknowledge the section with a wave.
Get there 90 minutes early to walk Monument Park before it closes at first pitch. The Great Hall during batting practice is also worthwhile.
Post-game on River Avenue outside Gate 4 after a Yankees win is one of the best post-game scenes in baseball.
Take the 4 train to 161st Street-Yankee Stadium. It runs directly from Grand Central in under 30 minutes. The 4 train has been the correct way since 1923.
Main Level 400s along the right field line. Good sight lines, easier access than the premium sections, and lower in the pricing tiers.
